First Auction of Used Hospital Equipment Successfully Launched!
The first auction of used medical equipment via Green Pulse has successfully concluded. With the participation of several hospitals, the auction generated over €85,000 in sales revenue. More than 60 international buyers from countries such as Kenya, Germany, and the United Kingdom purchased equipment for reuse.
This initiative delivers not only financial value but also measurable impact: by extending the lifespan of medical devices and avoiding the need for new production, 161,000 kg of CO₂ emissions and 11,240 kg of raw materials were saved. To put that into perspective — that’s equivalent to the emissions from driving over 800,000 kilometers in an average car.
The auction also supports local economies in a sustainable way. Much of the equipment finds its way to medical suppliers and care providers in regions where access to high-quality equipment is limited.
Thanks to Green Pulse’s transparent commission model, the majority of the revenue goes directly back to the participating hospitals. In other words, healthcare funds stay within healthcare.
